  71. Inc. This document contains only a brief description of the package and
  72. its features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite
  73. detailed documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived
  74. form, and is more easily read after installation. To obtain the latest
  75. version of the Geometry Screen Savers Go PIKAPRO on Compuserve or visit

  78. GEOSS is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  79. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  80. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see README.TXT for more

  83. REGISTER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others

  119. ===== Installation =====================================
  120.  
  121. The installation procedure for GEOSS is quite simple.  The
  122. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  123. entire process.  You will need about 2 meg of available disk space
  124. on the hard drive on which you plan to install GEOSS.
  125.  
  126. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  127. GEOSS Geometry Screen Savers.
  128.

  130. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  131.  
  132. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  133.  
  134.    o  Place GEOSS distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  135.       appropriate diskette drive.
  136.  
  137.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  138.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, Choose
  139.       File - Run from Windows, and execute, "a:install".
  140.  
  141.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  142.       The program will copy the Screen Saver files to your Windows
  143.       directory. It will make no other changes;  specifically, it will
  144.       not modify your autoexec.bat, config.sys, or .ini files.

  147. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  148.  
  149. If you downloaded GEOSS from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  150. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  151. following steps.
  152.  
  153.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  154.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  155.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  156.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  157.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  158.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  159.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  160.       the package.
  161.  
  162.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  163.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  164.       the game package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would choose File - Run under
  165.       Windows and execute, "c:\tempdir\install".

  168.       The program will copy the Screen Saver files to your Windows

  173. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed GEOSS
  174. (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including all its contents.
